Tessa Thompson
The actress Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on October 3, 1983 in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) as well as the grandchild of Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She grew up at Los Angeles, before she was moved to Brooklyn. Her father has Afro-Panamanian family and her mother is from Mexican and British Isles origins. Thompson was a part of many productions during her time at Santa Monica High School. She attended Santa Monica College after graduation and earned a cultural Anthropology degree. The role she played was Juliet her character, she performed in William Shakespeare's play "Romeo and Juliet" as part of the Pasadena California production by The Boston Court Theatre. Her performance from earned her the NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Tessa's first TV appearance was in 2005 when she appeared on CBS.
